Varicose veins on the legs, not simply a cosmetic problem but also an impact on health.
Besides being annoying, and often unsightly, painful varicose veins indicate the presence of a vascular lesion that may progress to a mild or severe vascular disease. Structurally a varix expresses a pathological dilation of the superficial venous system which indicates problems in the circulatory system.
A varicose vein on the other hand, it is rather useless since it has failed to fulfill its function: the blood is stagnant in the vessel with subsequent expansion.
